FUNDACAO NIEMEYER

The Fundação Oscar Niemeyer is one of several buildings of the Brazilian exceptional architect Oscar Niemeyers in Niterói. There are as many Niemeyer buildings in Rio’s neighboring city as in Brasilia. The work of the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, who died in 2012, had a decisive influence on Brazil’s architecture. Niemeyer worked on other buildings until his death at the age of 105. Some of his buildings will only be completed in the coming years.
